CWU Career Services team has an exciting announcement to share about our newest resource for students with the introduction of our Labor Market Insights module! At Career Services we know just how important of a factor salary is when it comes to choosing your career and major. In our virtual career center this tool will allow you to both explore and prepare for a potential career by gaining insight into the context, requirements, and demand for potential occupations within your industry of interest.
How to Use:
- Navigate to ‘Career Skills’ in the main navigation menu and select ‘Research Labor Market Insights‘ at the top.
- Search on the ‘Find Career Data by Selecting Keywords’ tab, or select the ‘Or, By Filtering for Industry and Occupation’.
- Visit any career community in the main navigation menu of our virtual career center under ‘Explore Careers’, and select ‘Labor Market Insights’, like this example in our ‘Marketing’ community.
Once you’ve set the search criteria for any occupation you’ll be able to find information about the core tasks, employment trends, education levels, annual earnings and more! This data is updated regularly to ensure you are researching the most up-to-date findings. We are excited for you to take advantage of this new tool to help guide you on your career journey.
