Hello Wildcats,

My name is Aaron Woods and I am Career Counselor here at CWU working on the Ellensburg campus.  I have worked in higher education for more than 4 years and before that worked in the high-tech field for 20 years in several roles.  I have an Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Business minor, and a Master’s degree in Counseling.

My work at CWU focuses on the College of Arts and Humanities.  I spend extra time on the needs of these students when it comes to selecting a major, careers they can do with the major, and anything else related to their career development.  Even though my focus is on Arts and Humanities students, I work with all CWU students regularly.

One of things I really like about being a career counselor at CWU is using my past experiences to help students find work that is meaningful to them and their interests and goals.  Another part of my work that I enjoy is connecting students with alumni, current professionals, and anyone else who has wisdom to share.  Everyone has experiences to share and we can all learn from each other rather than trying to figure out everything on our own.
